16 Port Expander: I2C MCP23017

Addding 16 more pins to your microcontroller is easy using this 16 port expander chip. Just communicate to the chip via 2 pins using the standard I2C protocol and you'll have an additional 16 pins that can be inputs, outputs, inputs with a pullup or open drain! Great when your project requires more I/O pins than you have on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi microcontroller.
