9V Voltage Regulator - 7809CV

Voltage regulators are useful for robotics projects where you have a battery that drains and loses voltage over time. Using a voltage regulator can ensure that you have a steady voltage for your standard 9V circuits and devices while using a battery that's draining. This L7809CV will give you a 9V signal when hooked up with any battery between 14.5V and 30V! Employs internal current limiting, thermal shut-down and safe area protection, making it essentially indestructible!
