This chip can control 24 separate channels of 12-bit PWM output for LED control, this board is not good for driving servos. For servos use this servo driver.

Features:

  • SPI controlled PWM/LED driver board
  • 24 Channel
  • Constant-current & open drain outputs
  • Input Voltage: 5V - 30V
  • Uses SPI to communicate
  • 3 pins are required to interface:
    • Data
    • Clock
    • Latch
  • Boards are chainable
  • Output Enable (OE) allows you to turn off all outputs at once
  • Max Daisy-chaining: no maximum, just supply enough power and you can chain as many as necessary
  • Constant current so LEDs won't flicker or burn out
  • Current level: 15mA per channel (can be adjusted by soldering a different resistor
  • Resolution: 12 bit
  • Arduinio Hookup:
    • LAT: Arduino D6
    • OE: no connection
    • CLK: Arduino D5
    • DIN: Arduino D4
    • GND: Arduino GND
    • V+: Arduino VIN or external power supply
