This 3V 5mW 650nm Laser Diode is a fun little red laser that emits a laser beam similar to a laser pointer when given 3 Volts of power just like you'd get from two standard AAA or AA batteries.

Specifications:

  • Max Light Power: 5mW
  • Operating Voltage: 3V DC
  • Max Operating Current: 25mA
  • Laser Wavelength: 650nm
  • Operating Temperature: -36 C to 65 C
  • Working Life: More than 1000 hours
  • Dimentions:
    • Diameter: 6mm
    • Length: 13mm
    • Wire Length: 47mm

Would a 5v 2.1 amp output portable charger work to power 100 of these? I am wondering if the power would burn out the lasers or mess up the laser output.

Thanks.
Yes, but this is the 3V version. You can power 100 of the 5V ones with your portable charger. Here is the link to the 5 volt version: https://tinkersphere.com/arduino-compatible-components/1181-laser-diode-5v-5mw-650nm.html
