For signal transmission, the voltage will increase when the transmission distance increases and the signal becomes weak. The use of current transmission can avoid the signal weakening over longer distances. This module is used for the end of the current signal transmission, the current signal can be converted with this converter module into a voltage signal for single-chip detection. Current input support ranges: 4-20Ma, 0-20mA, voltage output support ranges: 0-3.3V 0-5V 0-10V

Usage Instructions:

  1. Hook up the module according to the wiring diagram shown in the photos, power supply voltage 7-36V (if the output to 10V, the supply voltage must be greater than 12V)
  2. After powering up the module, the D2 indicator should be on, otherwise check the connection. There is built in reverse polarity protection, so connecting the power in reverse does not burn the board.
  3. When the current input is the minimum (0mA or 4mA), adjust the ZERO potentiometer so that the VOUT output is set to the minimum (0.0V or other voltage per your needs)
  4. When the current input is at maximum (20mA), adjust the SPAN potentiometer so that the VOUT output is the maximum (3.3V or 5V or 10V, the output can be as low as 2.5V when the input is 4-20ma)

 

Use the onboard jumpers to select the appropriate voltage range for your project:

  • 4--20ma: 0-2.5V range: J1 1,2 jumper short, 3,4 jumper shorted
  • 0 - 3.3V range: J1 1,2 jumper off, 3,4 jumper off
  • 0 - 5.0V range: J1 1,2 jumper short, 3,4 jumper shorted
  • 0--10.0V range: J1 1,2 jumper short, 3,4 jumper off
  • 0--20ma: 0--3.3V range: J1 1,2 jumper short, 3,4 jumper shorted
  • 0 - 5.0V range: J1 1,2 jumper short, 3,4 jumper shorted
  • 0--10.0V range: J1 1,2 jumper short, 3,4 jumper off
