Tilt Switch

This simple Tilt Switch contains a metal ball inside that slides back and forth depending on the orientation. When the Gold Leg is facing downwards and the Silver Leg is facing upwards, the ball is at the contact point and the switch is activated. When the internal ball rolls towards the silver leg, the switch is disconnected and you have an open circuit. Very simple principle and easy to use.

A simple Tilt Switch to detect orientation easily! Each tilt switch has 2 colored legs, one gold and one silver for easy identification. When the gold leg is facing downwards, the small metal ball within rolls down and makes contact between the 2 legs, closing the switch. When the silver leg is facing downwards, the internal ball rolls away from the contact and the switch is open.

Turn it one way, it's closed, turn it the other, it's open. Easy to use and great for simple motion activated projects!
