Features:

  • Chipset: L298N
  • Dual H-Bridge Module
  • Motor Power Supply Voltage: 5V-35V (Note: Motor Power pin is labelled 12V but can be anywhere in the given range)
  • Maximum Motor Driving Current: 2A per bridge
  • 5V Voltage Regulator on board so if your motor power supply voltage is 7V-35V, no additional logic power is required.
  • Operating Voltage: 5V (for board logic)
  • Operating Current: 36mA
  • Max power: 25W
  • Dimensions: 43 x 43 x 26mm
  • Can control 2 bi-directional DC motors simultaneously or one Bi-Polar stepper motor (with 4 wires)
  • Arduino & Raspberry Pi Compatible

Pinout:

  • Out 1 & 2: Motor A (or Bi-polar stepper motor coil A)
  • Out 3 & 4: Motor B (or Bi-polar stepper motor coil B)
  • 12V: Motor Power (Can actually be from 5V-35V, just marked as 12V)
  • GND: Ground
  • 5V: 5v input (unnecessary if your power source is 7v-35v, if the power source is 7v-35v then it can act as a 5V 0.5A out)
  • EnA: Enables PWM signal for Motor A
  • In1: Enable Motor A
  • In2: Enable Motor A
  • In3: Enable Motor B
  • In4: Enable Motor B
  • EnB: Enables PWM signal for Motor B
Can I make a pi robot with this to control the motors?
Yes, I made the same thing for my thesis project. We used the raspberry to control the direction of the robot.
