The Black Pearl which first sailed in 1669 fought many battles; Its Captain, Henry Morgan, was one of the world’s most notorious pirates.In 1671,Captain Morgan led an invasion in Panama. The following year Captain Morgan was put in prison in England. Years later he returned to Jamaica as a judge and governor. Henry Morgan died in England in 1688 after a long illness. Now we see what is the historical source that influenced Captain Jack Sparrow in the movie Pirates ot the Caribbean to change the name of the ghost ship from Wicked Wench to Black Pearl.
