Compared to our ESP8266 boards. This ESP32 board features:

  • Dual cores so the WiFi manager can run simultaneously without yielding
  • Lipo Charging Port
  • Faster processor
  • More GPIO pins
  • More analog input pins
  • More analog output pins
  • Extra UART

When compared with the preassembled ESP32 IoT Board, this one is preferable if you must have a Lipo charging port on the board. If you do not require a lipo charging port we recommend the ESP32 IoT Board because this board requires soldering to mount the headers and requires driver downloads for the serial driver chip while the ESP32 IoT Board uses a USB to Serial Converter chip that does not require additional driver downloads.

Does this come with the headers attached or unattached?
This one requires the included headers to be soldered on. Here is a version that comes fully assembled and soldered: https://tinkersphere.com/boards/2421-esp32-board-huzzah32-esp32-feather-comparable.html
